Why did you accept the position to start working at RDC?
I took this position because I wanted to do meaningful work and be somewhere I could grow. Helping people find jobs and improve their situation really stood out to me, and it aligned with how I want to show up at work. I also saw a place where I could grow, build new skills and challenge myself.
Why is changing lives important to you?
Changing lives is important to me because meaningful employment can transform someone’s entire situation. It provides not just financial stability, but also confidence, independence and a sense of purpose. Being part of that process- helps someone overcome barriers, recognize their strengths, and secure and opportunity- feels impactful. It’s rewarding to know that the work I do contributes to real, lasting improvements in people’s lives and future.
Which of our core values do you resonate most with?
People First- People first resonates with me because it reminds me that behind every application or placement is a real person with goals, challenges, and potential. In the work we do, it’s easy to focus on numbers or outcomes, but I believe the best results come from genuine understanding and supporting everyone. When you take the time to listen, build trust, and tailor support to someone’s needs, you’re not just helping them find a job, you’re helping them move forward in their life.
What would you like everyone to know about you and your career journey at RDC?
My career journey at RDC started with me wanting to make a difference, even if I didn’t fully know what that would look like at first. Early on, I focused on learning the role, understanding the people we serve, and building my confidence. As I gained experience, I started to see the bigger impact of our work- how helping someone find a job can change their confidence, stability and future. That shifted my mindset from just completing tasks to really focusing on people and outcomes. Along the way, I’ve grown in how I communicate, solve problems, and support others. I’ve also learned that challenges are part of the process, and they’ve helped me become more adaptable and patient. I feel more confinement in my role and connected to the purposes behind what we do. This journey has been important to me because it’s not just about career growth- it’s about being part of something meaningful and continuing to grow and make a real impact for both our associates and our internal team.
What is your goal(s) for 2026?
My goals for 2026, in the workplace I want to continue growing in my role and building the team and their skill set. I want to see Columbus hit the quota this year by driving new business and continuing to grow our current clients.
Personally, I want to keep developing my confidence, maintain a healthy work-life balance, and continue growing as a person. To keep showing up every day and be a better person each day than I was the day before.
What is your “why”? What motivates you to show up every day & give 100%?
My why is my family. They are my biggest motivation and the reason I push myself to keep growing and doing my best every day. I want to create stability, be someone they can rely on, and set a positive example through my work and actions. They also remind me why what I do matters. Helping others find jobs and improve their lives connects back to what I want for my own family- security, opportunity, and a better future. That’s what drives me to stay committed and give my best in my role.
What do you do for fun outside of work?
On the weekends, you can usually find me in one of two places- the basketball court or the racetrack. I love spending that time with my family and watching my kids do what they love. Being around that kind of energy and competition is exciting, and it’s also a great way for me to unwind and disconnect from the work week.
June Employee Spotlight 2026
Meet Megan Filliater, our June Employee Spotlight! Megan joined our team in May 2023 and is our BOSS Director of Operations. Read below to learn about Megan’s “why” at work, what changing lives means to her, and more about her life outside of work!
Why did you accept the position to start working at RDC?
I was the first employee of BOSS in May of 2023. I have been in the payroll industry for over a decade, working for both small family-owned companies and large national ones. I was very excited at the opportunity to help build a company from the ground up, ensuring we were doing right by our customers and building a great internal culture.
Why is changing lives important to you?
Changing lives is important to me because I’ve seen how much stress payroll and administrative responsibilities can create for small business owners. Being able to take that off their plate and allow them to focus on growing their business and supporting their teams is incredibly meaningful to me. When we do our jobs well, we’re not just processing payroll, we’re removing that stress and giving our clients the ability to focus on what matters most to them.
Which of our core values do you resonate most with?
Integrity Always resonates most strongly with me. In past roles, I’ve experienced environments where I didn’t feel we were doing right by our clients or worksite employees, and that left me feeling discouraged and unfulfilled. Those experiences reinforced how important it is for me to work for and contribute to an organization that prioritizes doing the right thing. Living and working with integrity is something I value deeply, both professionally and personally.
What would you like everyone to know about you and your career journey at RDC?
I joined BOSS before we even had our first client, helping to build the operational foundation from the ground up. Over the past three years, I’ve been part of growing the company from a startup into where we are today, serving 42 clients as of July 2026.
What is your goal(s) for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to ensure our operations can effectively support the rapid growth of BOSS. This includes strengthening and documenting scalable processes so we can grow efficiently while maintaining the level of service our clients expect.
What is your “why”? What motivates you to show up every day & give 100%?
It’s important to me to feel that the work I’m doing is meaningful. Payroll and benefits management directly impact employees and their families by ensuring they’re paid accurately and on time and that they have access to healthcare and other essential benefits. While people often only notice payroll when something goes wrong, I take pride in being part of a function that supports their day-to-day stability and well-being. That sense of responsibility and impact is what motivates me to show up every day and give my best.
What do you do for fun outside of work?
I love spending time outdoors. My ideal day is going for a hike while listening to a good audiobook. I recently bought a kayak and am looking forward to getting out on the water and exploring more this summer.
